Example interview questions...
Within an interview a variety of questioning techniques will be used which include:
Open Questions - To encourage a full answer, based on what, why, when, where, who and how.
Closed Questions - Used to confirm information and require a much shorter response.
NB: A poor interviewer may inadvertently use these therefore do ensure you give a full answer.
Leading Questions - Suggesting responses from candidates e.g. “I take it you were unhappy working for your last boss”.
Probing Questions - To exact more information around topics covered.
Hypothetical Questions - Cover theoretical situations such as “If you were presented with this situation how would you react?”
Multiple Questions - Asking several questions at a time therefore requiring concentration, this is a way of testing concentration and confidence.
